Mistaken: First Impressions Are Never What They Seem by Karen Barnett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A well crafted story that transported me back in time. The setting of the Pacific Northwest in a turbulent time in American history was expertly woven into the character’s lives. The young lady, Laurie, is caught in an impossible situation. In addition, what she thinks isn’t always what is. As she shifts through truth, lies, and deception, I found myself wondering how she was going to get out of her predicament.
I didn’t read the story, but listened to it on audio. The narration was done very well.
I look forward to enjoying more of Karen’s stories.
