The Healer by Camille Eide
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A sweet novella that weaves the hearts and souls of two very different people together. A historical set in the rough and rugged Pacific Northwest that tastefully highlights the difficulties of an immigrant who desires a better life.
This is a story of two broken and hurting people who find hope and healing in each other and in their faith. The elements of faith are woven into the grain of the characters without being preachy. The historical details are enough to ground the reader in the setting.
An emotional heart tugger that leaves a lasting impression.
I look forward to seeing Hans and Lily in a future story and visiting the historical town of Umpqua again.
