Great beginning of a new mystery series by a talented writer. Plymouth Undercover is a cozy mystery that you can curl up on your favorite chair with a warm blanket and cup of tea. The characters are fun and quirky. The mystery well rounded with lots of possible suspects and twists.
The aspect of a mother and daughter taking over the investigation firm reminds me of the Darrow and Darrow mysteries on Hallmark. In fact, this story is written a lot like a Hallmark Mystery.
I enjoyed the small town atmosphere and the details of the setting. As Mick, the retired investigator imparts his years of wisdom and experience to Emma, they work together to solve the mystery and Emma learns how to solve a mystery.
The audio narration was well done.
I found the ending a delightful surprise. I’m definitely looking forward to more of Pamela Kelly’s new series.
